Coffee Minute Moment with Mama Mare: Wake up, Slapping your Sinful Flesh
Lately, my toddler has been transitioning into the tantrum stage. In March, she turned two years old, and it seems as though she has marched right onto a soapbox to shout and pout.
As her mom, I want to stand next to her on my own soapbox to speak to her with a sound and righteous tone.
As moms, we need to balance our spirit so we don’t fall off our crate into sinful snares. We need to slide our leadership boxes up to a mirror, look into it, and slap the fleshly sin out of our cheeks. Then, mend with God’s word and bend our attitudes to His will. We will reflect upon our godly faces under glorified powder room lights.
Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. - James 1:23-24
Today, fellow moms, reach for your leadership boxes under your beds to prep your stance with steadfast spirits. When you take a morning reflective glance, turn away and always remember the look of your blushed righteous cheeks.
You can then move your box next to your toddler to speak with guidance and a poised attitude. Speak God’s word from your soapbox and your child will feel secure. Your whole household will be composed because of the remembrance of your face.
