Mama Mare Review - Houma Pumpkin Patch
Before the twinkling lights get hung and Christmas Trees are found in the attic, I wanted to keep the last pumpkin glowing with a review.
Recently, my family and I visited the Houma Pumpkin Patch in Schriever. Living Word Church hosts the Fall festivity with charm and cheer every year.
This particular year, I truly appreciated all the ‘photo op’ spots. As a mom, I loved the array of different areas to capture family memories.
The picture perfect props surrounded babies, moms, and dads with an Autumn aura. Delightful spots displayed hay bales draped in plaid and ‘apple sweet’ signs. Other spots were planted with pumpkins and antique appeal that included a rustic truck. The vintage farm feel created frame-worthy memories.
Overall, the Houma Pumpkin Patch color-penciled light Autumn hues. The ambience was shaded with sweet corn smiles and lavender tinted laughter.
Past the orange pearl pumpkins that were being picked, was a family-fun corn maze and other children’s activities. The sound of laughter could be heard from the ‘tractor train’, corn pit, bounce houses, etc.
Before my family and I left the pumpkin patch and the sound of giggles, we rode the country clad hayride. As we rounded the amber fields, the air seemed to arabesque with enchantment. My husband and I looked upon our baby daughter with joy, as her smile shone along with the sun’s beams.
I would definitely recommend families visit the Houma Pumpkin Patch next year to enjoy a day at the ‘farm’. Enjoy food, activities, and the ambience of wooly warm Autumn with the family.
