Dot-by-Dot…God Connects
Mama, if your husband asks you if you want to take a break, take that break to connect those bemusing dots. I recommend walking or running under the night sky to connect with God. I recommend collecting your daily dots and placing them on the street for God to yoke.
As I ran under the Big Dipper that poured out peace, I noticed the streetlights that shone upon the street. When I trotted through the light, I could see every crack and obstacle in my way. But when I got far away from the light and I faded into the darkness, I had to have faith in my footing.
In our daily lives, God connects the dots. We may not see the pencil line being drawn, but God is working, etching a line that yokes trust to trust.
When we are in the light and everything is clear and surefooted, we are sure about life. Although, when we step into ebon times, we tend to get frustrated and lose our balance.
How can we remain stable through the trippy times?
Place your full trust in God and run through the darkness with faith. Run with the full intent of stability and soundness with soled spirit. Be like a surefooted mule that trots on the edge of canyons with assuredness.
When you run through clarity, but see obscurity ahead of you, know God is going to connect one lighted dot to the other. He will guide you through blackouts of befuddlement and affix you to affirmation of faith.
Your lives as moms (and dads) are going to be filled with erratic dots of trials, tiredness, sickness, needs, financial strain…dangling dots of boggled blackness.
Therefore, take the much-needed break and run. Run with surefootedness, knowing God will connect the ‘dot-to-dot’. He will connect clarity to clarity and stabilize your feet through the dimmed days. He will draw the line with leveling love. His love will light your ‘life street’ with faithful joy.
