Have Trust like a Baby
Last night, my husband held our daughter and spun her around in his arms. She giggled and snuggled up against his comforting chest. She laughed with tone of trust. She knew that daddy would hold her tightly. At 10 months, she already knew that ‘dada’ would lift and spin her safely.
As Christians, do we have the kind of trust a baby has?
Do we have full confidence in God when we get spun around in the midst of life?
As moms, do we trust Jesus when our days are like ‘tops’? They spin into unknowing and ambiguous corners. Do we look at that top criss-crossing across the floor, and have full reliance on God’s stability?
Have faith in God to stop the top gently, and lift us like babies into the air. In their entrusting eyes, giddiness and full surrender pirouette with sparkles and soundness.
What can you do to fill your coffee cup with trust?
Mamas, when you get up in the morning, give your day to God. Give your day over like giving a nutritious bottle to your baby. Fully surrender every moment that may come, whether it be your teething baby or messes slung from a high chair…have a baby’s trust. Then, you will be nourished with peace.
So, have trust like a baby. Let God hold you and lift you into the air. Have a heart filled with helium that expands into hope. You’ll then float from Jesus’ arms into His calming clouds throughout your day.
