Blessing Blocks Build

  Mamas, we’re about halfway through the day…we’ve swooped our children to doctor’s offices, downed sweet cream coffee, and have washed dishes like a perpetual riverboat wheel. 

We are tired and we have concerns…we have stack upon stacks of duties. Ahh, but do you know what else stacks upon your living room floor…blocks of blessings. 

When we heard, “Your baby is growing beautifully,” from the nurse practitioner, a foundation begins to form. The platform is a mix of pink promises from God and benevolent blue pieces. 

When we run to Target and an employee finds your quintessential hairspray (Plus, it’s on clearance.)…a small block is placed atop the base. 

When you open your dishwasher and it’s surprisingly empty…another block clicks on top of previous blessing. 

When your home is a spread of toys like apricot jelly and tops with ‘daily bread’ of God’s peace…blessing blocks abound. 

Sometimes, unknowingly to the tired mom eye, a tower mounts in the corner while you sip sweet cream coffee. 

Mamas, gaze at those blessed blocks that stack upon each other creating a pastel castle. Sit on your coach and take a coffee break while your baby naps. Touch the blessing blocks that surround you and your family. You’ll be able to sit more comfortably on your ‘life coach’.
