Push back the Beads of Temporal Tasks
Right now, I’m sure everyone is busy with some sort of task. Whether it be cleaning, cooking, running errands, even making coffee…I’m sure at this very moment, everyone is tinkering. (Even laboring while their feet are upon an ottoman.)
Many of us look upon the day and think, “What to do first?” We open our eyes to the sun rising through our curtains, and our mind wakes with working thoughts.
We all have responsibilities, jobs, and tasks, but our minds should always be “eternally engaged”. Even as parents, our minds should be focused firstly on heavenly life.
As Christians, do we ever think about our heavenly life to come? Do we think about eternal experiences over worldly whims? Do we look pass this passage into the perfect providence?
We need to push back the bead curtains that dangle with temporal tangibility, and lock our eyes on Heaven.
If we rise from bed and automatically think about God and His Kingdom, we set our day on a solid table that is striped with sunshine. Our day becomes meaningful and joyous, because we are “eternally engaged”.
As you’re tinkering throughout the day make sure to push back the bead curtain constantly to maintain spiritual clarity. Then, walk by the peace sign poster and feel a harmonious security.
Parents, singles, everyone…have an eternal mindset, because you’ll get tangled in the beads of temporary tasks. You’ll get knotted in daily delusions and meaningless mundanity.
Focus on God in all you do and everything will become majestically meaningful. Responsibilities will rejoice with righteousness. Peace will surround your home and through the bead curtains. You know when the proxy moon glows, your day ends with eternal dreams.
“So I hated life, because the work that is done under the sun was grievous to me. All of it is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”
Ecclesiastes 2:17 NIV
