Cottage Cheese Days

The mountains and hills may crumble, but my love for you will never end; I will keep forever my promise of peace." So says the Lord who loves you. - Isaiah 54:10

As parents, some of our days seem like cottage cheese that has splattered all over our luxury vinyl floors. Little bits and pieces (probably thrown by your toddler) create a chaotic scene whitewashed with stress.

These “cottage cheese” days start as a perfect mound of togetherness, then instantly dishevel into messy curds of fussiness, tantrums, obstacles, mind fog, problem solving, distractions, and overwhelming bits.

If your day crumbles into cottage cheese pieces…be still and pray. Talk to God and reside in His clarified love.

Even though there is white mush all around your feet, step over the mess and into God’s promised peace. His love will level your focus onto clean faithful floors.

Parents, if your “little foal” is truly throwing cottage cheese onto your luxury vinyl, remember God’s love that wraps you like an apron. His love covers your mind with clean soundness. His eternal love tightly ties an apron around your waist, equipping you to avoid messy anger and disappointment.

So, even though the days may crumble into curds of cottage cheese, the Lord will always help you clean the floor and start anew. He will wrap you in a daily apron of strength and steadiness. He will guide your feet through “cottage cheese” days.
