Hold on to His Garment

Sometimes, days, months, or even years, seem full of trials. Those seemingly tough perpetual moments can bang up our soled spirit, making our feet sore and tired.

Recently, my feet have weakened with weariness. My soles upon my “mom tennis shoes” have become torn with tiredness. My feet have become numb and I have fallen. Lately, I have only been able to see the ground.

Ah, but as some of us lay on the dusty ground with dulled eyes, bright white linen cleans the ground as it glides past us. The brightness beckons our hands to lift and reach out towards clarity. We can feel a garment appliquéd and lined with amazing grace and lifting love.

God’s graceful grasp will enwrap our hands and lift us to newly shoed feet. He will lift us to heavenly heights where we can see clearly to tie on rejuvenated shoes. We can then look upward with confidence to keep trekking through trials, making our way through the trail of “Building Faith”.

As I write this, I’m down, down on the ground. I’m reaching to touch Jesus’ garment and to touch familiarity. I’m reaching to gain lucidity and strength to keep hiking.

His robe is known and comforting. His threads are true and trustworthy. He is home whenever you get lost and fall down. So, grab a hold of Jesus’ garment and don’t let go.
