Mommies Wade in Moments
As moms, we try and wade in the moments hoping time won’t wash over the minutes of the “second-hand sandcastle”. Yet, time builds memorial mounds and we look over sand banks, and see our babies toddling around. We see them reaching for fruit pouches and their straw cups that cover captured baby memories.
As mommies, we want to see our children reaching for shiny new experiences and grow into godly souls. We want them to be submerged in a world of wisdom and wonder. Our children’s growth is both beautiful and bittersweet.
Although, a mix of an ocean of emotions, we want our toddlers, pre-teens, and even adult children to thrive. We want them to reach towards the surface, where the light is bright with God’s blessings. We want them to live in peace like the harmonious swims of Angel Fish.
So, as mommies, moms, and mommas, we try and stay in the moment, wading in wonderment and sentimental sands. Although, daily ticktocks of the minute hand move us closer to aging sand banks, our smiles beam with honor. There, behind time, our little ones grow and gain grace. There, within cabinets of all moms, bottles and moments are bedded with vast love.
