Coffee Minute moment with Mama Mare: Two-Year-Old Meltdowns
My “foal” is turning two in March, and the meltdowns are starting to rear up and hit the sky with hardened hooves.
This is unusual territory for me. I feel as though I’m lost in an emotional grove that lines our corralled home. I’m searching for wisdom on unlevel ground with prayed steadiness and godly grace.
As parents, there are going to be many “two coffee” days with an opened Bible. Ultimately, God is our caffeinated strength and refuge.
God is our clear direction back to our fenced home. He will help us maneuver through out our children’s meltdowns and give us “horse sense”.
So, as I started my Sunday with my first coffee, I prayed for wise navigation of my little girl’s emotions. I prayed for God’s caffeinated strength. I prayed for direction through the bushes of emotions to get wisely back home.
In all of our hopeful homes, God will sit with us (coffee on end tables) as we tend to our toddler’s feelings with enlightenment and found soundness.
