Coffee Minute Moment with Mama Mare: Clover Clear Focus
I have “this and that” to do and other chores too. These tasks seem to be mounted on an obtrusive plaque protruding with, “Do now!”
The busyness is like a special bulletin that airs across my mind. My mind gallops as I sit. But then, I pray and open to red words…”be still”.
God’s word shuts off my channeling mind, and I rest in a field of clover that’s never-ending. I rest in the truth of eternal over earthly matters. I lay in the truth of…”God is my shepherd…my focus.” He will lead you, especially as a mom, by still waters while you sweep, bill-keep, clean deep, and give toddlers treats.
Moms…parents, instead of focusing on trivial entanglements, hone in on God. You’ll untie yourself from worldly aspects and set free your mind in God’s four-leaf goodness greenery.
Seek him in your home and sit with him in comfy and eternal clover. Seek Him as you fold laundry, wipe little hands, and pick up crumbs (for the 100th time).
If you fully fixate on earthly matters, you will never concentrate with a godly sound mind. You will be swallowed by a shirt-filled hamper of ironic emptiness.
So, don’t focus on the peering bulletins of “Do this! Do that! Check this! Check that!”
Untie yourself, focus on Jesus, and set your mind free by still waters where you continue washing and folding laundry.
