Moms, Build your Barbie Dream House with God’s Love
Short but sweet, little Barbie words of God’s family retreat…
Moms/ Barbies, are you building up your household with God’s love? Are you opening the shutters to fresh ambient air, letting in the whiffs of sweet benevolent baked pie?
Before we were actual “mommies”, we once dreamt of a pink Barbie dream house, filled with baked blueberry muffins. We dreamt of a prince or a Ken kneeling before us in wildflowers. We fantasized about little ones toddling around, sliding down the dream house slide. Our pretend abode was filled with constant happiness.
Now that we are older, and have true “mommy”/ wifely responsibilities, sometimes our dream house windows get cracked. Occasionally, emotional balls of impatience are thrown at the glass panes of perfection. Behind the white shutters, toddlers scream, dinner burns, laundry piles up, the mess mounds and constant chores pound, pound, pound.
Although, occasional dishevelment happens under our roofs…keep your house soundly built with God’s love. Even though your house sometimes rattles with real life, keep swinging your god-given hammers. Constantly slam the nails of solidity into your blush pink siding.
Barbies, open God’s word under your tightly grooved purple roofs. When you do, your daily strides will be sound and joy will hark from whole windows. Your family will smell sweetness mixed with steadiness from daily fresh red words (Jesus’ words).
Remember, we once dreamt of this dream…our Barbie dream house filled with enchantment with occasional obstacles. And now, God has given us the desires of our hearts. He has given us a pink passionate life. So if life cries like a toddler and you need to “re-roof”, use shingles that are granulated with patience. Your family will follow your feelings and feel God’s love. Your dream house will forever be a concrete living dream.
