Coffee Minute Moment with Mama Mare: God first; Coffee, a Definite Second

  It’s a two coffee morning and God first day. 

Mama, does your schedule look like check boxes floating from floor to ceiling? 

Well, take a minute, with your iced coffee (my favorite), the Bible, and sit with the Lord. He will situate those check boxes into His will of peaceful coordination. 

When you sit with God in the morning and underline scripture, your day will become more situated on a table of trust next to your coffee. It will be marked with many marks of hope. 

Even though a check box may not get checked ✔️ and another box may get erased and changed, your hand will not shake. Although changes and hiccups may get scribbled into the day, when God is sought first (and coffee second), He will keep you still and unwavering. He will keep your hand from trembling with tension. 

Changes and immense responsibilities are boxed around His will, keeping you sound and lightened because of His love. 

Go forward today (I wrote this quickly as my foal wakes up…first box checked) Jesus first and coffee a definite second. As moms, we need his stability in our wrists as we check off the day’s list. We need His guidance as the check boxes hover over our heads. 

So, seek His presence first and not in a past tense tone (We can’t function on coffee alone.). God will steady our hands and our plans according to His will. Your check marks will always be checked with a hand that’s still.
