Coffee Minute Moment with Mama Mare: Hold God’s Coffee and “Go, Girl, Go!”
The sun shines atop my little girl’s swing-set, and takes a swing over the brightening green-sheen grass. Then, it slides down her pink slide into the house. The shadowy covers are pulled off the day and off of yesterday’s trials. They awake with the same attire they wore the day before.
Mommas, are you going through some trials as you hold your coffee mug? Do they wake up with the same “Good morning!” humdrum inflections?
The trial or trials you’re enduring may seem to be non-stop and continually caffeinated with habitual morning “Hellos!”
If they seem to be like endless coffee drips that fill your mug with doubt, refocus your mind. Sip and focus on God’s blessings that silence the dripping noise: My family is healthy, we have needed provisions; God loves us and will support our shaky coffee cups.
If trials seem to be putting on the same clothes of continual disruption, (Right now, we have trials clothed with leaky plumbing and car trouble expenses.) God will always hand you your daily coffee and utter, “Go, girl, go!”
My dad passed away 16 years ago and instead of saying, “You go girl!” his version was “Go, girl, go!” His saying was a specialized endearment of encouragement. He would also tell me, “I’m your earthly dad, but God is your Heavenly Father.”
Since God is our true Father, He loves us perfectly and beyond belief. His words are ultimate encouragement and endless endearment.
So, if we face the similar trial or trials every morning, God continually whispers, “Go, girl, go!” He hands you coffee with His strength stirred in.
Trials will eventually melt like the ice in your cold coffee. Ah, but God’s blessings and love are eternally solid.
”For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.“
Psalms 30:5 NIV
