Coffee Minute Moment with Mama Mare: Patience - a Hefty and Healthy Apple to Give
Patience - a fruit of the Spirit.
Patience - the healthiest apple at the highest point of the tree.
Every day we need patience. Every day, as parents, as civilians, we need to unfold a ten foot ladder. We need to learn to consistently climb rung by rung, and pluck the pearliest apple at the tree-top.
Yesterday, I experienced two older women pop open their ten foot ladders. They stood behind me, climbing the rungs of their ladders while the cashier struggled to scan my coupon. One, two, three, four, five minutes went by, and the $10 off coupon was finally inputted correctly.
I told the sweet ladies that held their healthy and hefty apples in their hands, “Thank you, for waiting.” They responded with a patient and compassionate response of, “No problem!” while smiling at me and my little girl.
When patience is portrayed and is held in your hand like a hefty apple, you are gifting others around you a healthy environment…a healthy apple of their own. When you maintain a godly composure, others around you will feel comfortable.
When the tree-top fruit of the spirit (patience) is brought down from the tall ladder, you are giving others a godly example. You are giving others a taste of God’s redemption. You are gifting others with Jesus’ pearly red love.
So, when you are patient with others in line at the grocery store (possibly using coupons), they will notice a ladder unfolding. They will observe a hearty apple of patience being plucked. You are giving others a chance at a comfortable day; stress-free and loved.
Today, pop open those ladders and bring down healthy apples of patience. Others will notice the sheen of Jesus’ light.
