Coffee Minute Moment with Mama Mare: Where does your help come from?

 

As I sit here, iced coffee next to me and the Finger Family song playing, I try to spark and energize my mommy battery.  I’m depleted and tired (Trying to rotate the stuck shaft of routine after a dreamy beach vacation.)

Mommies/ women, where does your help come from? Does it come from self-help or self-empowerment mommy/ women books? Does it come from the worldly quick-fix wits of foolish wisdom? 

Today’s egotistical culture seeks help from idols in the form of spineless and meaningless books and motivational muddy quicksand. Those idols offer momentary motivation like an etched heart in the sand beside the Gulf. Swoosh…split-second strength.

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

Instead of flipping through fake pages, flip through truth and never ending waves of motivation; God’s word. Instead of listening to “pretend” podcasts, sit and listen to God’s voice to oil the shaft and crank divine drive. 

Don’t etch your heart in the culture’s self-saving sand. Etch your heart on God’s tree of deep-rooted revival. 

Help will come. Mommy, you will finish your coffee (while Wheels on the Bus goes around and around the house) and rotate the shaft of routine with God’s true biblical power.
