Coffee Minute Moment with Mama Mare: Light will always Conquer Dark
Last week, Hurricane Francine swept through my hometown as a category two “mini monster”. Even though it was minimal compared to the major monster, Ida (category 5), it still left damaging marks.
It left town leaving many in the dark, tripping over blocks and rugs to get to their flashlights and generators: “Get the flash lights.” - “Start the generator.” - “Turn on the light to conquer the dark.”
What should we do to conquer the “downed lines” of life, and power through without perception of timing?
Hold onto the flashlight of hope and shine it on God’s promises:
- His uplifting love for His children.
- His hugging awareness of every tear that falls.
- His gifted Spirit that keeps us sound.
Put on your gloves and turn on the generator of steady strength:
- Plug into peaceful hope of light to come.
- “Pull the cord” and engage in the Bible to stabilize power.
- Faithfully sit under temporal lit timing awaiting fullness of God’s electric energy.
Stay grounded and aware of God’s presence within the dark times. Grab your flashlight and wave it around with hope. Dance with toddler-like trust amidst the timed tempest.
Eventually, the whistling winds will silence amongst the attic. The trees and fences will stop shaking. God’s promises will peer through the storm shutters…light conquering the dark.
