Coffee Minute Moment with Mama Mare: Stomp out Satan’s Lies
Lately, I’ve been one tired mama. Therefore, I’ve been vulnerable in my weakened state…gullible to Satan’s lies.
My thoughts have been in the form of ghastly and ghostly illusions, “I’m not a good mom. You are not equipped. You’re lazy and a failure.” (And so on with the mind cons.)
When you’re burnt out, you are more susceptible to Satan’s pounces, prods, and eventual burns. When tiredness has sourly set in, you’re more tempeted to believe Satan’s fiery mind mirage. You get stung by embers of dangerous degree doubt; your ability to be a mom, wife, or adequate friend.
I knew I had to “stomp out Satan” and distinguish his black smoke fire. I knew I had to “Irish jig” over the lies. So, I started “clogging” and jogging (literally exercising) over the growing flames. I missed a few days of exercising (Yes, ironic, even though I was tired.). So, to acquire some gumption and to clear my mind, I started to skip and speed run again. Work-out stomps will prevent Satan’s wildfire of lies. It’s an outlet to clear the ember debris in your mind.
Before exercising, one of the most important “stomping” solutions is to attend church and surround yourself with godly-minded moms, dads/ friends. When you enter the church building with a steeple stretched towards the morning sun, your mind heartily heaves towards heaven. When you enter into the sanctuary, Satan’s swindling phantom words dwindle. General worship of our Lord stomps out any noticeable flames of fakeness. Remember, Satan’s wishy-washy words are ghostly; not real and empty.
Of course, the main solution to ultimately eradicating limelight lies is to read God’s encouraging words. Open the Bible, and you can hear the stomping and extinguishing commence. Satan becomes swatted and snuffed out by strong-winded words. Swooosh! Stomp! Satan silenced and “put out”.
I encourage you mommas, to stick to these solutions when ghastly words start to ignite. When one word of doubt starts to flicker, stomp it out! Extinguish Satan’s lies.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. Ephesians 6:10-11
