Mama Mare Coffee Minute Moment: Make every Laundry Fold Glorify God

As a mom (anyone), it’s hard to face tasks that are taxing and milked with mundanity. You get into a routine of resistance. You start to resist the seemingly unrewarding chores that seem to snore and bray with blahs.

When you start to do the mere bare minimum and miss the glorifying mark, remember the verse:

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. - Colossians 3:17

So, start to hit the multitasking mark with meaningful moves.

We are meant to glorify God in everything we do. When we do, intended importance is ironed over all crinkled work loads.

Our laundry folds start to crease with intentional care.

Prepping and cooking start to stir with a savory outlook; “My family is fed and with full bellies, go to bed.”

When you bend down to pick up the millionth toy, you bend with comprehension of God’s benediction of His millionth blessing.

When you do everything to glorify God, rumpled resistance is smoothed out and every task starts to fold in love, joy, and gratefulness.

Every laundry fold is done with importance because God is divinely important. Every washcloth is put away with thankfulness. We have been washed of our sins, therefore, (whether folding laundry, cooking, or cleaning) glorify Him.
