Coffee on Coaster Conversations: I’ve been a good mom and I’ve been a bad mom

I’ve been a good mom and I’ve been a bad mom.

I’ve been an active mom and I’ve been a screen-time mom.

I’ve been an engaged mom and I’ve been a detached mom.

I’ve been a depressed mom and I’ve been a joyous mom.

I’ve been a “dried up yellow” mom and I’ve been a rejuvenated “let’s go! - green colored” mom.

I’ve been an overstimulated mom and I’ve been an aware mom.

I’ve been a “why” mom and I’ve been a “trust in God” mom.

All of us have been the successful “all green” mom.

And, all of us have been the failed “fragile brown leaf” mom.

But everyday, we are being renewed and pruned by our perfect Savior.

Everyday, we have a Lord on high watering us from the nearby sky, rooting strong parenting.

Everyday, we have a faithful Father that never loses hope in us and our potential growth.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. - John 15:1-4
