Coffee on Coaster Conversations: A suitcase filled with faith
Well, I have peeked at the weather app once or twice due to our upcoming Destin trip next week. And well, it looks like a “rain on the beach parade” everyday (even a possible tropical depression). So, honestly, I got a little depressed and upset…for a moment.
So, I immediately kneeled by my bed and prayed for clearer and comfortable weather. I then boldly started filling our suitcases with faith and tucked in extra adaptation. I laid in more thoughts of inside activities and fun-filled modifications. I adjusted my attitude like adjusting clothes to fit luggage.
When we peek and see some early “news lines” of “breaking news”, we can either fill our suitcases with faith or retreat with hopelessness.
We can go into the closet with a faith-filled mindset grabbing suitcases with hopeful hands or we can leave the door closed and leave empty hearted.
So, my one sided “Coffee on Coaster Conversation” to you is to keep the faith. Even though the news lines of life look dim and dreary, open bright colored luggage daily and pack with persevering hope. Pack them tightly with confidence in the Lord.
