Coffee on Coaster Conversations: Moms, everyone, open your Bible - no excuses
I’ve mentioned this topic before and it’s been on the “coaster” in the past, but I feel as though l need to converse about it again (because I have been slacking lately): Moms, everyone, open your Bible - no excuses.
The big bullet point that seems to blotch the day; “I’m too busy.”
If I become sidetracked with business and I don’t open the Bible to daily connect with God, I can feel it deep in my soul. My day doubts and my spirit pouts. My “ends” become loose and instead of being firmly apprehended by God’s attention, my spirit becomes flighty. In other words, I am baffled by the day’s scrutiny.
When I open the Bible, the words seem to pierce the scrutiny and settle my heart’s baffled beats. I become steady and sound, because once again, “I’m found”. I’m found in God’s heart; His promises, encouragement, commands - His love.
When you subdue the excuses (the busyness blotch), you solidify your “loose ended” mind by becoming Kingdom-minded through the Word.
Moms, everyone, open your Bibles for at least five minutes even if it’s amongst TV chatter, baby rattles, dishwasher hums, dryer runs, toddler “plows” - the overall loud.
When you do, you will be found and the “looseness” will become sound.
