Coffee on Coaster Conversations: The health benefits of eating wings
I’m not talking about physical benefits (even though chicken wings are beneficial protein), but I’m talking about relational benefits. About once a month, my husband and I date in our living room. We make a “reservation” at our couch and order wings (from Rotolo’s in Thibodaux). After we tuck in our daughter at night, we boost the immunity of our relationship over traditional barbecue or chipotle wings. Some of the relational health benefits of “wing night/ nightly reconnection includes nuances of important intimacy, relational recharge, medicinal affection, and if needed, holistic healing (forgiveness, improvements, compromises). The benefits ultimately convene and construct a strong Christ-centered evening/ days. Each conversation is spoken in the language of love: spiritual needs, adaptive needs, and physical needs.
